LAHORE: The people of Pakistan have expressed their confidence in the leadership of Imran Khan, which is why Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) achieved a massive victory in the recent general elections, said PTI leader Dr Yasmin Rashid. She expressed these views while addressing the media on Sunday.

The previous PTI government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had taken effective steps to improve the living standard of the common man, she maintained. Imran will definitely rise up to people’s expectations, she added.

She claimed that Khan wished to improve health and education sectors on a priority basis. Keeping in mind the importance of clean and safe drinking water, we will install filtration plants in every union council, while also ensuring the existing water supply system is repaired.

The government will also streamline the drainage and sanitation system after conducting comprehensive surveys to ensure the durability of the project. A comprehensive strategy for dumping solid waste will be drafted so that residential and commercial areas are kept neat and clean, she expressed.

Further, Insaf Sehat Cards will be provided to those in need so that they can avail medical facilities free-of-charge. Public schools and technical institutions will also be revived on modern lines, she articulated.

The general elections 2018 were held freely and fairly, therefore all the parties should acknowledge the results of the polls, she concluded.
