'City area people ready to take to streets over water shortage'
“Along with the rise in temperature in the provincial capital Quetta, the duration of announced and unannounced load-shedding has also increased due to which not only are the households being affected but the day-long power outages are also having a negative impact on the businesses,” they said. “Due to no electricity, many areas of the city are facing severe water shortages due to which people are forced to purchase the precious commodity from tanker owners on sky-high rates.”

The TAC has demanded of the caretaker provincial government to ensure that Quetta Electric Supply Company and Water and Power Development Authority provide relief to the people by decreasing the duration of load-shedding and providing clean water, respectively.
