“There are speculations and suspicions regarding rigging in the elections, but Election Commission of Pakistan is responsible for ensuring free and fair elections in Pakistan,” said Jamaldini, adding that impartial elections would help the country boost its economy.
On emergence of the Balochistan Awami Party and the interim government’s soft corner for it, JUI-F’s Sikandar said, “A single party in the province is given complete impunity for conducting election campaigns and rest of the parties are restricted from going to the public.”
