17 dead, several injured in Hyderabad road accident

Bus carrying wedding party was parked on a road side in Hala

At least 17 died and 11 sustained serious injuries when a speedy trailer hit a bus carrying a wedding procession on National Highway on the way to the city of Hyderabad.

According to initial details, a bus carrying members of a family on their way to attend a wedding, was parked on a road-side in Hala after a fault in the vehicle led to a stop. While awaiting help, a speeding trailer came from the back and collided with the bus.



The crash was so strong, it resulted in 15 immediate deaths. Police and rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the casualties and the injured to a nearby hospital.

The deceased toll include five members of the same family.
