MMA says no to enlightenment, open mindedness

'The general elections are not a test for the candidates contesting the polls, they are a test for the nation'

MULTAN: “Enlightenment and open mindedness are not a part of Islam; those who promise you a ‘free’ environment are the enemies of Islam,” said Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) President Maulana Fazalur Rahman.

He expressed these views while addressing a MMA procession late Friday night.

The general elections are not a test for the candidates contesting the polls, they are a test for the nation. Citizens will not only choose an individual but they will also choose a political and economic system, he expressed.

India wants to enslave our future generations. The water analysts of Pakistan have failed to defend Pakistan at international forums. If they cannot fight for our rights, they are not eligible for our votes, he maintained.
