Maryam Nawaz, daughter of deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif, said on Wednesday the nation will soon make its decision to change the fate of the country.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo and his daughter will return home on Friday to surrender to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) following the Avenfield verdict.

"Nothing has happened in Pakistan as blatantly as it is happening now," Maryam said while talking to reporters in London. "These circumstances call for a logical conclusion."

"The nation is about to make its own decision now," the PML-N supremo's daughter said in an apparent reference to the July 25 general elections to reclaim public support for the ousted premier.

"So these things in Pakistan will end one day forever and it will be free," Maryam maintained.

On Tuesday, Nawaz said his party will not accept at any cost the efforts being made to ‘engineer’ the upcoming general elections. He also said a clear campaign against the party was ongoing ahead of the polls.

On the same day, the PML-N leadership announced that they will defy all restrictions and reach the Lahore airport to welcome the duo.

Last week, in a verdict which will echo across the political landscape of the country for decades, the accountability court hearing the Avenfield reference sentenced Nawaz to 10-years imprisonment and Maryam to seven years.
