Shell Eco Marathon Malaysia: GIK sending 11 member team

The 11 Engineering Sciences students are making a fuel efficient vehicle.

A team of 11 students will represent Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute in the Shell Eco Marathon Asia 2011.

Under the supervision of Dr Rizwan Akram and Team Manager Saad Bin Arif, the 11 Engineering Sciences students are making a fuel efficient vehicle that they hope will travel the furthest distance within a single litre of fuel.

The main aim of the event is to encourage the young engineers and scientists of tomorrow to come up with ideas to overcome the energy crisis the world is facing.

The team includes Majid Mahmood, Khwaja Muhammad Falik, Minhaj Zaheer, Jahanzaib Bukhari, Muhammad Affan Zia, Umair Zeb, Zamarak Jan Bangash, Omar Waqar Khan, Ameer Hamza Janjua and Mohammad Ali Qureshi. A total of 121 teams are participating in the Shell Eco Marathon.
