Trishala Dutt's silence on 'Sanju' sparks rumours

Reports claim that Sanjay Dutt's daughter is upset with the film

Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Sanju has made its way to the top of the box office, surpassing collections made by Padmaavat and Baahubali. Majority of the viewers have accepted the film wholeheartedly.

However, Sanju has also received some negative reviews. Film critics stated that the film looks at Sanjay Dutt's life through a sympathetic lens. Now, it seems like the controversial actor's family has some issues with Sanju as well.

Bollywood stars were quick to speak of their fondness for the actor but many noticed his daughter Trishala's silence on the release. The youngster, who is usually very vocal about her love for father Sanjay, hasn't said a word since the film hit screens on June 29, reported Hindustan Times.

Rumour has it that she is upset with the how the film has failed to unveil other chapters of Sanjay's life, including the actor's first two marriages to Richa Sharma and Rhea Pillai.

Trishala, who is Sanjay's older daughter from Richa, might have been offended that Sanju had no mention of her or her late mother. What makes it worse is that histhird wife Manyataa, essayed by Dia Mirza, appears for a small but crucial role in the film.

It's interesting to observe that Trishala was a part of the publicity campaign during Sanjay's comeback film Bhoomi. However, she was not present at any of the promotional activities for Sanju.

Director Rajkumar Hirani has also received a lot of criticism for whitewashing the controversial aspects of the Khalnaayak star's life. Many people who played crucial roles for have either not had ample character development in the film or been completely ignored. These comprise of his first two wives and sisters. Only Sanjay's parents, Sunil and Nargis Dutt, along with Manyataa, have been focused on in Sanju.
