NOWSHERA: Having completed five years in power in the province, the PTI now aims to form a national government in the centre.

This was stated by former Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) chief minister Pervez Khattak while addressing various election rallies in his constituency on Tuesday.

Khattak claimed that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had emerged as the largest party in the country and that the efforts of the party chairman Imran Khan are about to bear fruit over 20 years after forming the party.

He claimed that once PTI takes power, ‘Awami Raaj’ would be established in the country, adding that no other party could compete with them.

Talking about the work his government had done in its five-year stint, Khattak claimed that they had initiated historic reforms which had no precedence in the past.

He also lashed out at political opponents who were spreading malicious propaganda against the PTI on social media because they were certain of their defeat.

Khattak also reserved criticism for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), stating that the era of dominance of the party from Raiwind had come to an end.

He promised that the PTI of will retrieve the looted wealth of the nation and would spend it on the welfare of the people.
