Higher revenue: ‘Tax culture must be improved’

Elahi emphasised that in order to win public confidence governance should be improved and corruption eradicated.

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Mahfooz Elahi on Monday underlined the need for ensuring transparency, accountability and access to justice for improving tax culture in the country.

Talking to Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) Chief Commissioner Syed Ijaz Hussain Shah and other tax officials, Elahi emphasised that in order to win public confidence governance should be improved, corruption eradicated and equitable tax policies pursued for revamping the tax collection system.
