CDA gets a new chief

Replaces Usman Akhtar Bajwa who was appointed earlier this year

ISLAMABAD: The government on Friday notified a new head of the capital’s top civic body, according to which, Ishrat Ali, a basic pay scale (BPS) 21 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Services, recently posted as Immigration Passport Director-General under the Interior Division, was transferred and posted as the chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) under Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD).

He replaces Usman Akhtar Bajwa who was appointed earlier this year.  Before this assignment, Ali was serving as the Passport Director-General. Earlier, he was posted in Ministry of Climate Change and served as the national project director of Sustainable Land Management Project, aimed to combat desertification in Pakistan.
