Not just Parwaaz Hai Junoon but three other local releases will hit cinemas in less than two months. Ali Zafar, Maya Ali-starrer Teefa In Trouble, Mehwish Hayat and Fahad Mustafa's Load Wedding and Nadeem Beyg's star-studded Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 will compete with the Pyaare Afzal's upcoming project at the box-office in August.

Because of these films, I can happily and confidently say that 2018 will be a great year for the Pakistani film industry."

Throughout 2018, local distributors have been enjoying ample revenue from the local films that have released so far. In fact, even almost two weeks later, Eidul Fitr releases like 7 Din Mohabbat In and Wajood are still holding their own at the box office, despite the presence of Race 3, Oceans 8 and Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom.
