‘No progress without education’

Says no country could progress without quality education and steps were being taken to review the curriculum

LAHORE: The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) Managing Director Abdul Qayyum said no country could progress without quality education and steps were being taken to review the curriculum to reflect today’s needs. He expressed these views while addressing the opening session of a training workshop for teachers at DPS Model Town. PCTB is making efforts to improve textbooks in light of education experts’ opinions. Education experts are being invited from all over the province to develop a modern curriculum from grade six to grade 12. Further, Divisional Public School and Intermediate College Principal Muhammad Abdul Naeem Khan said that PCTB is crucial for the development of the curriculum. Presently, PCTB is determined to develop quality textbooks, for which teachers and experts have been invited, he added.
