Cattle registration completed in South Punjab

In Multan division at least 350,487 farmers are registered for livestock farming

MULTAN: The registration of cattle has been completed by the livestock department in various districts of South Punjab. Cattle growers participated in the process for the economic development of the people. All kinds of animals, including buffaloes, cows, sheep and goats have been registered.

Officials said that in the Multan division, at least 350,487 farmers were registered for livestock farming. The data for registered farmers had been organised according to latest techniques.

As part of the process, all registered farmers will be given livestock service cards. After the provision of the service cards, all the farmers will be provided with medicines and treatment at their doorstep. More than 1.5 million animals were registered in Vehari, more than 1.2 million in Multan, more than 1.1 million in Khanewal and more than 0.6 million animals were registered in Lodhran.
