Shahzad says govt, ECP have made all arrangements for holding peaceful elections

Caretaker Balochistan Minister for Information Malik Khurram Shahzad on Monday expressed the need to provide women all the facilities in selection of their nominated candidates in the 2018 general elections.
The minister stated this while talking to different delegations which called on him at his office, according to a press release.
The information minister said all facilities would be provided to voters in elections.

He said in the past, women had not utilised their right to vote due to non-availability of amenities and other problems in the province.
“The government and the Election Commission of Pakistan have made all arrangements for peaceful conduct of general election,” he added.
The minister also urged all segments of society to play their role in increasing women voters in order to use their right to vote in selection of their candidates as they constitute over 50 per cent of the total population.
