SHC seeks detailed report on Murad Ali Shah's iqama
Justice Mazhar said the verdict would be announced after verification by the ECP

The Sindh High Court (SHC) adjourned on Monday the hearing of a plea against the candidacy of former Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah on the basis of his Iqama till June 6. Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, expressing dissatisfaction over the report filed by the Election Commission of Pakistan, sought a detailed response by the next hearing.
Junior SHC judge proposed for top court vacancy
Murad Ali Shah's lawyer contended that the Supreme Court had earlier rejected a plea against the disqualification of the former CM. Later, the election tribunal had also rejected a similar plea on this basis. He added that the plea was therefore ineligible for hearing and requested the court to reject it.
Justice Mazhar said the verdict would be announced after verification by the ECP.
Sindh High Court takes notice of teenager's gang rape
The petition was filed by Jalal Mehmood Shah and stated that Murad Ali Shah possessed a UAE work permit (Iqama), which he had failed to disclose in his nomination papers.
