Sindh High Court takes notice of teenager's gang rape

Sindh High Court Chief Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh has taken notice of the rape of a 13-year-old girl in Tando Muhammad Khan, Express News reported.

The girl was reportedly gang raped by influential men from the area. A video of the incident was also made. The men are said to be threatening the victims's family.

The court took notice of the gang rape following its publication in a newspaper. The Sindh High Court also directed the Sindh IG, Tando Muhammad Khan SSP and and pertinent sessions judge to furnish a report by April 11.

In March, a 13-year-old boy was allegedly raped by two men after being abducted in Sehwan. The boy was later left unconscious outside his house a day after his kidnapping.

Separately, the recent gang rape of a Hindu youth in Thatta, Sindh at the alleged hands of a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader’s son and six other men sparked outrage on social media. The assault reportedly took place in Sajawal district.
