Interprovincial car lifting gang busted

The Abbottabad police have arrested a gang of car thieves and recovered two stolen vehicles from their possession

ABBOTTABAD: The Abbottabad police have arrested a gang of inter-provincial car thieves and recovered two stolen vehicles from their possession, including one which had been lifted from the tourist hill resort of Nathiagali. Abbottabad Additional SP Sonia Shamroz Jadoon told journalists at a hurriedly arranged news conference that the gang of car lifters comprised of at least nine members. Of these, the officer said, they had managed to arrest four. Moreover, the officer claimed that the men had allegedly confessed to stealing five vehicles in the past fortnight including two from the hill station of Murree, two from Gujjar Khan near Rawalpindi and another from Nathiagali.
