MULTAN: A man allegedly beat and killed his wife in Basti Maluk on Sunday.
Reportedly, Samina Bibi was unconscious when she was brought to a local hospital. However, she passed away soon after.
The deceased’s sister, Haseena Bibi went to the Basti Maluk police station and claimed that her sister was subjected to violence at the hands of her husband Munir Ahmed. Police took the body into custody and shifted it to the Nishtar Hospital for a post-mortem.
Meanwhile, a family dispute in Kotla Gamoon in Jatoi district claimed the life of one individual while injuring four others.
The injured and the deceased were shifted to the rural health centre. One of the persons who was critically injured was shifted to Nishtar Hospital. Police have registered a case while further investigations are underway.
Further, a ninth grader drowned in a stream in Bahawalpur. Munsab Ali went to swim in a nearby canal. However, the child never made it out alive.
