Shah Mehmood Qureshi declares assets worth Rs280m

Owns four properties in Pakistan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Vice-president Shah Mehmood Qureshi has declared assets worth Rs280 million, Express News reported.

According to details outlined in the nomination papers, filed for NA- 156 (Multan), the former foreign minister owns two houses in his hometown of Multan, one flat worth Rs65 million in Lahore’s Gulberg and a house worth Rs34.7 million in Islamabad.

Qureshi owns jewelry of about Rs7 million and furniture costing Rs2 million. He has four vehicles worth Rs19.4 million.

The PTI leader’s bank account in Britain’s capital has £88,000 while his wife’s foreign account has £26,500.

Meanwhile, PTI chief Imran Khan has shown in his asset declaration that he owns 168 acres agricultural land and an income of Rs2.36 million from it. He also stated receiving salaries of around Rs1.8million.

Surprisingly, he does not own a personal car or any jewelry.

According to his assets and tax return details, Imran has an annual income of Rs4.776m from agriculture, salary, pension and bank profit. He paid Rs10,3763 as income tax last year. Made 28 foreign trips between 2015 to 2018 - most of them being sponsored.

The former cricketer has shown his wife Bushra Bibi and two sons as his dependents who have no assets.
