Culprits also set fire to house before fleeing

KHANEWAL: Two people were gunned down over an enmity in Jahanian on Saturday.

Police told Express News that two unidentified suspects entered a house in Area 153/10 R and opened fire on Javed and his sister-in-law Maimoona. As a result, both victims died on the spot.

The culprits also set fire to the house before fleeing. Items worth millions were burnt to ashes.

Soon after the incident, the police and rescue officials reached the spot and shifted the bodies to hospital for legal formalities. Forensic team also collected evidence from the crime scene.

Meanwhile, the police claimed to have arrested a suspect and have registered a case. The cops believed that the murder was a result of an old rivalry. Further investigations are underway.

Man shot dead over enmity in Sargodha

In another incident, a man died during a scuffle in Jam Moza Jharwala area. The police said that Bashir Ahmed had a dispute with Sher Muhammad over a Rs15,000 loan. An argument ensued between Bashir Ahmed’s brother Muhammad Shamla and Sher Muhammad over the matter.

When matters escalated, Sher Muhammad hit Muhammad Shamla with enough force to kill him. After the incident, the accused fled the scene.

Police recovered the body and shifted it to the hospital for legal formalities. A case has been registered against the accused.
