Mushtaq Ahmed Yousufi – a legendary humourist and master craftsman
President of Arts Council of Pakistan, Karachi chapter, Ahmed Shah, Rajoo Jamil of Anjuman-e-Tarraqi-e-Urdu and several other prominent writers and poets were present at the occasion.
Born in 1923, Yousufi was a banker by profession. He, however, received great acclaim for his literary works in the realm of humour and satire.
Suffering from age-related deficiencies for quite some time, Yousufi made his last public appearance during the literary festival organised by the Arts Council of Pakistan some time back. Besides, he sometimes made selective appearances to read out his work for admirers and literature enthusiasts at sessions organised by different literary bodies.
