ACCRA: Two movie producers in Ghana are fighting over the movie title "Osama bin Laden" as they look to cashing into the attention generated worldwide by the elimination of the Al Qaeda leader, a media report said Sunday.

Producer Jones Agyemang, of J.A. Films said: "There is a big competition in Ghana's movie industry for movie titles."

He cited an instance where filming his movie "All Die Be Die" became contentious because another director wanted to shoot a film with the same name, Ghana's The Chronicle reported.

Dismissing the controversy as silly, Frank Fiifi Gharbin, who was cited as best director at the Ghana Movie Awards 2010 said: "The interesting thing is that sometimes you watch some of the movies with a controversial title and you will find nothing closer to the title chosen."

"The only thing they look at before choosing the title is the marketing aspect and not the content, and this is very bad," the daily quoted Gharbin as saying.
