The three were returning in a vehicle after offering Eid prayers when they came under attack, said police officials.
A large contingent of law enforcement personnel reached the site of the incident and started an initial investigation.
The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta for medical and legal formalities.
Earlier in May, the provincial capital witnessed a major terrorist bid when five suicide bombers, attempting to storm the FC Madadgar Centre, were intercepted and killed by security forces.
“All five terrorists [were] killed by security forces,” an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement had said. “All five attackers were apparently Afghans.”
The attack was mounted in retaliation for the killing of the Balochistan Lashkar-e-Jhangvi chief Salman Badeni in one of the city’s most secure neighbourhoods near Quetta cantonment.
