The banned Jamaat-ud-dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed has said that the issuance of report by UN on the human rights violation in held Kashmir is a welcome step.

On Thursday, UN human rights chief called for a major investigation into abuses in Indian Occupied Kashmir, as his office released its first-ever report on alleged violations committed in the disputed territory.

Saeed said the international forum should play role to end the tyranny and terrorism in Kashmir. He also termed the killing of senior journalist and editor of Rising Kashmir is the worst kind of terrorism. The journalist was targeted as soon as he raised voice against Indian government on the UN report.

Saeed observed that the Indian army is using malicious designs to malign the independent movement. The Kashmiri nation, he added, will not become a target of the Indian conspiracies.

Delivering the Friday sermon and later speaking to the delegations he said that the actual violations are far more than what is mentioned in the UN report. Kashmiris are being martyred daily and their properties are being devastated as a conspiracy.

The United Nations, he added, after the release of the report based on the facts, should exert pressure on the Indian government to pull out 0.8 million army men who are usurpers in Kashmir. The UN also should pressurise India to give the Kashmiris their right of self-determination.

Hafiz Saeed said Pakistan government should raise strong voice on international level against Indian terrorism in Kashmir. Kashmiris think that Pakistan is their biggest advocate and are facing bullets on their chests while holding the green flag with crescent.
