After making it to Newport Beach Film Festival, her short film Rani has now been selected to be screened at Outfest Los Angeles Film Festival. This announcement was made by GrayScale Films via their Instagram handle.

Sharing a shot from the film with the festival's logo imprinted, the production house stated, "Rani just got selected to screen at Outfest Los Angeles, as part of the All About My Mother segment."

It added, "Outfest Los Angeles is the oldest film festival in Los Angeles and is considered the pre-eminent LGBTQ film festival in the world!"

Speaking of the film, GrayScale shared the film's poster and wrote, "Rani is a short film about a Pakistani transgender woman who sets out to take care of an abandoned baby."
It also stated that the film was shot on the streets of Karachi and stars Sid alongside Maaz Khan.
With the hope to end violence against the transgender community and the phobia surrounding it, Sid earlier featured in a BBC documentary, How Gay is Pakistan and has become known for being vocal about transgender rights. She is also a well known activist for LGBT.
Directed by Hammad Rizvi, Rani will be screen at the festival on July 14, 2018.
