June 11, 2018 was announced as the last date for filing nomination forms by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) as from June 12 (Tuesday) onwards, the second phase – scrutiny - will commence.
Balochistan Election Commissioner Niyaz Baloch said, “On the last day for filing nomination papers, hundreds of candidates with their supporters visited the ECP and the RO offices across the province to submit their forms.

“Till Monday noon, we received a total of 651 nomination forms for provincial assembly’s 51 seats and a total of 161 forms for 16 National Assembly seats.”
On the last day, dozens of candidates, including Sardar Atif Sanjrani, Muhammad Umar Khilji, Maulana Asmatullah and others, submitted their papers for Quetta’s NA-264 seat.
For Quetta’s NA-265 seat, at least 32 candidates filed their nomination papers on Monday. Among the candidates were PkMAP Chairman Mehmood Khan Achakzai, BAP founder Saeed Ahmed Hashmi, PTI’s Qasim Khan Suri, JUI-F’s Naseebullah Achakzai and PML-N’s Younus Baloch.
The ECP confirmed that a total of 17 candidates had submitted their documents for Quetta’s NA-266 seat.
Among the candidates were BAP’s Prince Ahmed Ali Ahmedzai, PkMAP’s Jamal Taraki, JUI-F’s Hafiz Hussain Ahmed and BNP’s Agha Hassan Advocate.
