Remove Ijaz Butt instead

Shahid Afridi took the national team to the semi-finals of the Cricket World Cup and was the leading wicket-taker.

KARACHI: This is with reference to your report of May 21 titled “PCB removes Shahid Afridi and ODI captain”.

Younus Khan won the T20 World Cup and weeks later he was removed as captain. Shahid Afridi took the national team to the semi-finals of the Cricket World Cup and was the leading wicket-taker in the whole tournament, and a few weeks after the event he is removed as captain. What does one understand from this? That whenever a captain seems to be doing well and getting the public’s support, he is removed from the post. Would someone in the Pakistan Cricket Board please explain why this is being done? Perhaps the one person who needs to be removed is Ijaz Butt. No one will miss him.

kamla | 13 years ago | Reply i donot understand pak cricket. what is it always diffrences changing captains fighting.......but removing afridi frm captain is a fantastic decision. afridi what is he. he is nothing......he never takes his responsibility seriously always take it like a game of life. he is a captain and his batting is the worst of all cricketers. batting is more important than balling. our team consists of fantastic ballers but there are not masterminds batsmen anymore except misbah ul haq and younis khan. misbah is going to retire soon as his age is 36.if he went then there is only younis khan perfect. so afridi should change his behaviour. misbah ul haq has more qualities and abilities than afridi but misbah ul haq is getting weak . there is need to find a master mind like him otherwisw pak will lose matches. MISBAH UL HAQ IS BETTER THAN AFRIDI(NONSENSE)..
