The former Malir SSP was present on the occasion. Central SSP Dr Rizwan also appeared before the court.

Accepting the plea, the court said it would deliver a verdict after the Sindh High Court presented its judgement on the erstwhile Malir SSP's house having been declared a sub-jail. The court then adjourned the hearing till June 14.

Earlier, a plea objecting to declaring the building a sub-jail was submitted before the court, Express News reported. The written objection highlighted how the ATC had given physical remand of Anwar to Sindh Police after his appearance before a Supreme Court (SC) bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar in March.

The suspended police officer was sent to jail on May 2 after his remand ended. The petitioner pointed out how the residence of the accused had been declared a sub-jail on verbal orders of the Sindh Prisons IG without detailing any security threat whatsoever.
