KARACHI: Dr Mohammad Ali Shah, former president of the Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA), will be unveiled as the association’s patron-in-chief by the new president Sirajul Islam Bokhari in KCCA’s first meeting with its new members.

Dr Shah, who was barred from contesting the elections due to PCB’s constitution barring individuals holding government office from standing in the elections, was replaced by Bokhari who was previously KCCA’s secretary.

“It was unfortunate that he could not contest the elections but he should’ve abolished the rules while he was in office,” Bokhari told The Express Tribune. “But in our first meeting, we’ll appoint him our patron-inchief considering his services to the game and the association.”
