According to a joint statement issued by the Shuhada families on Friday, Balochistan IG had betrayed the families by backtracking on his promise of providing jobs to the heirs of the martyred cops during an Iftar dinner held in Quetta around a week ago.

“We had submitted our job applications to the Shuhada Committee on May 28, but an officer from that committee categorically refused to recruit the heirs,” Sadam Hussain, Jamil Ahmed, Murtaza and others said in a joint statement.
They added, “The provincial government had introduced Shuhada Policy while the high court had also ended the ban on recruitment in the police department, but some officers in the department are compromising the rights of the Shuhada families.
“We have decided to launch a series of protests from June 4 against injustice with the Shuhada families.”
