LAHORE: The Society for Conservation of Environment and Nature (SCEN) of the University of Veterinary & Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore arranged a walk and seminar with the theme of “Beat Plastic Pollution”. The event aimed to create awareness among students and public regarding hazardous effects of plastic pollution and also to promote environmental protection. Later, Assistant Professor from Polymer Engineering Department, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Dr Yasir Qayyum and Assistant Director from Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Aimen Hanif delivered lectures on the topic of management of solid plastic waste and environmental protection. On the occasion, the students gave presentation and suggestion on the alternative of plastic products.
