Ranbir Kapoor confirms dating Alia Bhatt

New couple alert!

Rumours regarding a romance between actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have been rife ever since the two appeared ‘together’ at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding.

Their upcoming film Brahmastra added even more fuel to the fire. However, in a recent interview with GQ magazine, the Tamasha star finally confirmed that he is dating Alia.

"It’s really new right now," he said. "And I don’t want to over speak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space."



Talking about his ladylove, Ranbir added, "As an actor, as a person, Alia is – what’s the right word? – flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself. It’s new for us, so let it cook a bit."

"It always comes with a lot of excitement," said the Rockstar actor. "It’s a new person, it comes with new beats. Old tricks become new tricks again – you know, being charming and romantic, all of that. I think I’m more balanced today. I value relationships more. I can appreciate hurt and what it does to a person much more than I could a couple years back."

Talking about how such rumours affect the duo, Alia previously revealed to Hindustan Times that she hasn’t spoken to Ranbir about  dating him. She shared she doesn’t know how she feels about it because there is nothing to feel and there’s no need to clarify or deny anything.



Earlier, Alia revealed she is fascinated by Ranbir. She stated, “I don’t know whether I used the word, ‘fascinated’. But yes, I would definitely say that I’m fascinated by the kind of person he is, with his vibe and behaviour. He is a really rare person and in the years that I have been alive, I haven’t seen many such people.”

When Alia called it quits with Sidharth Malhotra, it was reported that she did so to date her co-star, Ranbir. However, the 25-year-old cleared the rumours. She stated, “I strongly believe that ‘silence is golden.’ Even actors have their own personal lives – it’s called ‘personal’ for a reason. I have one too.”

She added, “People can say whatever they want as I don’t get bothered by such ‘stories’. I just hope people don’t think that this is all that I’m doing in my life."
