Qamar calls for carrying forward gains of military ops

Expresses satisfaction on progress of socio-economic, security initiatives in Balochistan

While hailing contribution of the security forces in eliminating terrorism from the country, the army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said the nation must carry forward gains of the war on terror toward enduring peace and stability

“The country, through great sacrifices of the security forces and the nation, is on a positive trajectory of peace and stability. The job is not completed yet and we have to carry forward the gains towards enduring peace," said General Qamar on Thursday.

The army chief was addressing the officers and faculty of Quetta’s Command and Staff College during his daylong visit to Balochistan’s provincial capital.



General Qamar acknowledged and hailed the contributions and performance of young officers in the ongoing operations and advised them to continue excelling in their profession.

Later, he also visited the Headquarters Southern Command where he was briefed about the progress on border fencing along the Balochistan portion of the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, Quetta Safe City Project, and the ‘Khushal Balochistan’ initiative.

The army chief expressed satisfaction on the progress of the socio-economic and security initiatives, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
