Five Kashmiris martyred by Indian troops in IOK

More than 100 people have been killed since the start of 2018

At least five youth were arrested and then brutally killed by the Indian forces during an operation in occupied Kashmir’s Kapwara district.

According to the Kashmir Media Service, the recent operation comes following an upsurge of brutal offensives conducted by the Indian forces in occupied Kashmir.

Following the incident, a series of protests and demonstrations erupted in the district.

AJK-wide protests over held-Kashmir carnage

The demonstrators chanted slogans against the Indian army, with the Indian forces deploying the use of tear gas, firing in an effort to subdue the protesters.

Six youth were martyred in an operation by the Indian troops earlier this month, in Badigam area of Shopian district in IOK.

The youth were killed by Indian troops during a cordon and search operation.

Leaders call for inter-sect harmony in Kashmir

Last month, at least seven people were killed leading to angry retaliatory protests and violent street clashes across the restive Himalayan region.

The occupied valley has witnessed a surge in violence with more than 100 people killed since the start of the year.
