Former CM Baloch gears up for upcoming elections

QUETTA: Former Balochistan chief minister Dr Abdul Malik Baloch has said that the National Party (NP) will contest upcoming general elections on the basis of its performance.
“The NP has ensured many great initiatives, including peace, in a short period of time,” said Baloch, who is also a leader of the NP, while addressing the workers at the party’s office in Turbat on Friday.

Central Information Secretary Jan Buledi, Provisional Deputy President Mansoor Baloch and other leaders were also present.
The former CM said, “There is a massive change in the 2013’s Balochistan and the one of 2018.”
Baloch urged party workers to put internal differences aside and work collectively for the political journey.
He said, “NP is a mainstream political party struggling for the rights of the people of Balochistan.”
He further said, “Balochistan is facing many challenges. We must put personal agenda aside and only look towards the interest of the province.”

He said that the NP had always contested elections against the kings’ parties and the party workers had proved that they could defend the rights of the people through pure struggle. “In 2018 elections, NP will win seats throughout the province,” claimed Baloch.
He urged the party workers to improve relations with the people thorough better communication and keep them in check with facts.
“We are against outside involvement in politics. We will condemn any undemocratic action taken to derail elections,” Baloch added.
