Accountability: Former nazim acquitted

PESHAWAR: An Accountability Court (AC) here on Wednesday acquitted Fatiullah Miankhel, former Tehsil Nazim of Dera Ismail Khan in a NAB corruption reference. The court, presided over by Judge Kosar Abbas Zaidi, after hearing the arguments, ruled that the former has failed to prove its charges against the latter, therefore, the accused is being acquitted. Fatiullah was accused of embezzling Rs40 million while awarding contracts during his tenure as tehsil nazim.
