The stocks of Rs20, Rs30, and Rs50 have exhausted since long, he said. According to him matter was brought into the notice of local treasury, assistant commissioner, deputy commissioner and even high ups at revenue department at Peshawar are also informed but no one is taking action.

Worst hit are students. They have to submit an undertaking on a Rs50 stamp paper that they would abiode by the institution’s rules and regulations.
However, in absence of Rs50 stamp paper, the students end up buying Rs200 one which is available in the market, thus paying Rs150 excess for no fault of theirs, besides paying the attestation and typing charges.
‘Quality education essential for progress’
When contacted, the local treasury officer replied that requisition has been already sent to stationery department at Peshawar but fresh stock has not arrived for the last three months. He further said that in Punjab, only Rs5 stamp papers are used for affidavits, while in K-P its limit is minimum Rs30.
