Governor Achakzai stated this at the 15th convocation of the UoB held at the Expo Centre on Tuesday where he awarded more than 200 students with PhD, MPhil and Master’s degrees.
Education trees to blossom from March in Balochistan
UoB Vice Chancellor Dr Javed Iqbal, faculty members, parents and a large number of students participated in the UoB convocation.
The governor said, “The effort and hard work put in by the students has paid off in the shape of degrees.”
Achakzai said, “Today the world has become a scientific village. Those passing-out today are the future of our country because they will be on the positions at which we are today.

He advised the students to continue working hard to achieve their goals.
Applauding UOB’s utmost efforts in providing quality education to the youth of Balochistan, Achakzai said that he was attending the fifth convocation of the UoB as chief guest.
“UoB Vice Chancellor Dr Javed Iqbal has been utilising all of his skills to upgrade the institution so that it could compete with leading universities of Pakistan,” he added.
University of Balochistan students reject security forces presence
Taking over the dais, the UoB VC said, “We still have a long way to go in order to achieve success.”
He said that after facing immense hardships, the leading university of the province has to do more to produce educated youth for the country.
“Each and every member of the university has been working hard to fulfil their responsibilities,” he said, adding that sub-campuses of the institution “are being established in remote parts of the province” to open the doors of quality education to the deprived people.
