939 road traffic crashes reported
Data shows that 471 drivers, 27 underage drivers, 143 pedestrians and 432 passengers were among the victims
LAHORE:
At least 939 road traffic accidents, which injured 627 and killed two, were reported across Punjab during the past 24 hours in the provincial monitoring cell of the Punjab Emergency Service Rescue 1122. The critically injured were immediately shifted to the closest hospitals, while 411 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged after being administered first aid by emergency medical teams. The data showed that 471 drivers, 27 underage drivers, 143 pedestrians and 432 passengers were among the victims of the road traffic crashes. Further, the statistics show that 260 road traffic crashes were reported by the Lahore control room, which affected 261 people. This places the provincial capital at the top of the list, followed by 85 accidents and 102 victims in Faisalabad and 71 crashes and 74 victims in Multan.
