“A workable middle ground that caters to the interests of a majority of members will certainly be at some distance from our original positions but it will be a win-win situation for all,” State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar said at a ministerial conference on Global Governance and Security Council Reform held in Rome on May 16.
Khar was invited by Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini to participate in the conference, which was attended by delegations from over 120 countries.
On the sidelines of the conference, Khar had several bilateral meetings with Mexican Foreign Minister Patricia Cantellano, Egyptian Foreign Minister Nabil El Arabi and the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Nizar bin Obaid Madani.
