Social Services: Baitul Mal provides medical aid

SARGODHA: Managing Director Pakistan Baitul Maal, Zamurd Khan, said the government was taking all possible steps to improve the economic situation in the country.

He said that the Pakistan Baitul Maal was spending billions of rupees for the restoration of widows, orphans, disabled people and patients suffering from fatal diseases. The Baitul Mal is giving Rs 600,000 for the treatment of heart diseases, hepatitis and kidney patients. He said that besides treatment of patients, Baitul Maal had also provided tricycles, wheelchairs and crutches to millions of disabled persons while providing shelter for widows and orphans. “We are hoping to streamline our services so that it is easier to keep track of financing new schemes,” he said.
