'7 Din Mohabbat In' trailer is a throwback to the old school, Shakespearean kind of love
The film is slated to release across the country on Eidul Fitr this year
KARACHI:
When speaking of love, Shakespeare famously stated “Oh what tangled webs we weave” and the statement never rang truer than at the unveiling of 7 Din Mohabbat In's (7DMI) tantalising trailer.
'7 Din Mohabbat In' teaser hints at a multi-genre film
Who hasn’t embarked on a quest for love only to be faced with a labyrinth of challenges? 7DMI turns this question on its head with the magic of humour, a stellar story and a superstar cast.
Shehryar Munawer’s Tipu is the failed heartthrob who embarks upon a journey to find true love with the help of an up-to-no-good jinn, Javed Sheikh.
Peppered with action and comedy coursing through its veins, 7DMI is a feast for the eyes as it not only stars the beautiful Mahira Khan but also brings Amna Ilyas and Mira Sethi to the limelight.
The trailer launch at Nueplex featured a panel hosted by Wes Malik, who shot fun questions at the cast - questions that earned the packed theatre’s laughter and answers that garnered both giggles and applause. The launch was attended by celebrities like Urwa Hocane and industry notables.
Called as the "romantic comedy of 2018", the trailer shows a fusion of eastern and western - one brought to the screen by Neeli (Mahira) and the other by Princess Sonu (Mira). Full of some Bollywood moments, 7DMI hints at a complicated love story revolving around the four characters - Tipu, Neeli, Princess Sonu and Ghazala.
A rendition of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai's rain scene is also depicted in the trailer with Shehryar and Mahira in the lead.

The film will also show Mahira evolving into comic roles rather than the serious ones she earlier played in Verna and Bin Roye. Directed by Meenu and Farjad, 7DMI is slated to release across the country on Eidul Fitr this year.
If this was just the trailer, we can't wait for the full show!
