Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz chief and Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) double standards will not be allowed anymore.

Addressing a media gathering in Lahore, the PML-N supremo said that the Supreme Court is taking notice of every irrelevant little detail.

The chief minister challenged opponents to prove even an iota of corruption against him.

Shehbaz Sharif welcomed NAB’s crackdown on corruption, but also said there is no room for double standards.

“NAB was ignoring corruption on one hand, while analyzing every fine detail on the other,” he noted.

“Fire and water can never blend with each other, as one would have to outlast the other. NAB must carry out the responsibility of delivering justice without any bias,” Sharif added.

The PML-N stalwart also said that there could be no bigger crime against a poor nation than some people from the elite writing off their loans worth hundreds of billions in a matter of few decades.

He said a handful people were blessed with all the luxuries life had to offer, while the rest of the nation strove for even the most basic necessities of life.
