Wife killed over honour, teenager found dead in separate incidents

Body of teenager found with gunshot wound to the head baffles police

QUETTA: In two separate incidents on Saturday, a woman was killed by her husband in the name of honour, while a body of a teenager was found with a gunshot wound to the head.

According to details, a woman was shot dead by her spouse in Goth Barkat Ali area of Dera Murad Jamali over her alleged involvement in promiscuous activities.



The suspect fled the scene after committing the crime, whereas the body of the victim was handed over to her family members after completion of medico-legal formalities. The police are conducting raids to apprehend the fugitive.

Separately, a teenager, 16, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in Nawan Kuli Shah Alam area of Quetta in an incident that is not yet clear whether it is a suicide or a targeted killing one.

The body was handed over to the family members after completion of medico-legal formalities.

The police have not yet ascertained the reason behind his death. However, further investigation is under way.
