Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shireen Mazari claimed that PTI leader Murad Saaed engaged in a verbal scuffle with Minister of State for Power Abid Sher Ali in an attempt to aid her after some Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz leaders had encircled her during the budget session.

Taking to the social media to address rumors surrounding the story behind the ruckus at the budget session in the National Assembly on Friday, Mazari claimed she was 'almost physically attacked' before Murad Saeed came to help her.

Federal Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal rubbished the claim, saying no one had attacked Shireen Mazari. Iqbal noted that Mazari had been assaulting the mike placed before the Minister for Finance Miftah Ismail.

Watch: Murad Saeed lunges 'towards Abid Sher Ali' amid budget session

"No one attacked you rather you were very aggressive and assaulting the mike before the Finance Minister and I had to ask you please behave like an educated lady MNA," the minister said in a post on Twitter.

"You were too busy shouting and attacking. Finally, we had to call our lady MNAs to deal with you," he added.

Earlier, a ruckus was witnessed in the National Assembly during the budget session as PTI’s Murad Saeed reportedly lunged towards PML-N’s Abid Sher Ali as the two engaged in a verbal scuffle.

In the video footage, an infuriated Saeed is seen rushing, apparently to engage in a physical scuffle, as he is restrained by several other members of the House.

Later, the opposition parties staged a walkout from the session protesting against the government’s decision to present the budget for full fiscal year 2018-19.
