Brave Punjab police constable to get artificial limb on army chief’s directives

The constable had lost his limb during an operation in DG Khan, the ISPR DG says in a statement

Army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has directed to undertake artificial limb procedure for a constable who suffered the loss during a security operation.

"COAS acknowledges great sacrifice of Constable Sabir Hussain of Punjab Police who lost his limb during an operation in DG Khan," said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) DG Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor on Friday.



"COAS directs Army Rehabilitation Institute AFIRM to undertake artificial limb procedure for the brave constable," the DG added.

Two terrorists killed in DG khan: ISPR

Earlier in January, two terrorists of a proscribed terrorist organisation were killed in an intelligence-based operation in the suburbs of DG Khan carried out by Punjab Rangers. The terrorists were involved in kidnapping and killing of security forces personnel.

Countrywide raids were conducted as part of the continuing military offensive, operation Radd-ul-Fasaad against “latent threat of terrorism”. The operation was launched in February 2017.
