Grenade attack injures three in Dera Ismail Khan

Police cordoned off the area and began a search operation

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A policeman and two others were injured on Friday when unknown assailants hurled a hand grenade on a police check post in Dera Ismail Khan.

The injured, a police constable and two passers-by, were transported to the area hospital for treatment.

The attackers managed to flee after the attack and security forces cordoned off the area, initiating a search operation.

Grenade attack kills two, injures 34 in North Waziristan

Earlier today, at least four people were killed and 32 others were injured when a hand grenade was hurled at a wedding ceremony in Dandai Saidgai village in North Waziristan, a senior political administration official told The Express Tribune.

The marriage ceremony came under attack when unidentified militants threw a hand grenade into the house of Shandi Gul in Dandai.

Officials relayed that the injured included at least seven children and many wounded were critical.
