Appoints five new federal ministers, one minister of state

ISLAMBAD: The government on Friday expanded its cabinet by appointing five new federal ministers and a state minister, confirmed a notification from the Prime Minister’s House.

The notification stated that Marvi Memon, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Anusha Rehman, Tariq Fazal Chaudhary as federal ministers and Leila Khan as a state minister. President Mamnoon Hussain administered the oath to the newly appointed ministers.

Leila Khan took oath as the Minister of State.

Earlier in the day, Miftah Ismail was appointed a federal minister ahead of the budget session in National Assembly. While Ismail was given the portfolio for finance Mminister, portfolios for the rest are yet to be decided.
