Seven killed in bus–tractor collision

Rescue officials say a passenger bus was on its way to DI Khan from Lahore

BHAKKAR: At least seven people were killed in a road accident, when a bus collided with a tractor near M M Road in Fatehpur, on Wednesday. Rescue officials said a passenger bus was on its way to DI Khan from Lahore when it crashed into a tractor travelling in the opposite direction. As a result, seven people died on the spot. The deceased were identified as Nasir, Musa Khan, Muhammad Yaseen, Abdul Ghafoor Khan, Ramzan Khan, Feroz and Shahnawaz. District Emergency Officer Dr Sajjad said that speeding was the cause of the accident. A case has been registered against the driver of the bus at Fatehpur police station.
